Chocolate Whey Protein Donuts Recipe

Chocolate protein donuts

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup all purpose flour

2 Scoops whey protein powder

1/4 Cup cocoa powder

1 Tsp baking powder

1/4 Tsp salt

1 Egg

1/3 Cup sugar-free granulated sweetener

1/3 Cup milk

1 Tsp vanilla
A few drops of orange extract, optional

2 Tbsp melted butter
Sugar-free chocolate for glazing, melted
Chopped almonds


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and lightly grease a donut pan with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl combine flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine egg, sweetener, milk, butter, vanilla and orange extract if using.
  4. Slowly add in the flour mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan with the batter.
  6. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until donuts are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
  7. Allow donuts to cool fully before glazing them. Sprinkle with chopped almonds. Enjoy!
